TEACHING EXPERIENCE
• As part of my duties as lead engineer in the recording studio at UNT, I frequently instruct students in
the basics of recording, mixing, and digital audio.
• As a teaching assistant in the class Popular Music in American Culture, I developed, and taught a
class on musical ownership entitled, “Thievery, Ownership, and Influence: What's the point in
trying?” Additionally, I assisted students with class material and graded assignments.
• In the computer lab at UNT's College of Music, I developed and taught a workshop instructing firsttime
users of music notation software in the use of Finale.

• Responsibilities for this position are to provide and execute all technical requirements for the class
American Music in Popular Culture and the events organized in conjunction with the class, including
the UNT Talent Show and a charity game show event at the All Saint's Episcopal School in Fort
Worth. Specific tasks include filming, recording, and editing audio and video, running live sound for
events and in class, grading of student essays, and some teaching.

• Responsibilities for this position include producing, filming, recording, and providing sound
reinforcement for all concerts and events within the Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theater in collaboration
with other CEMI staff members. It additionally includes maintaining the electronic music studios at
CEMI, assisting users with technical problems, helping patrons use the MEIT, maintaining the CEMI
website, collaborating with the CEMI director to further the studio's overall goal of creating a place
for experimentation, collaboration, and innovation in music.

• As studio manager my responsibilities are to handle all bookings and scheduling for the recording
studio, to assist clients with the formulation of a recording plan, and to promote the use of the
recording studio by UNT students. As lead engineer my responsibilities are to conduct recording
sessions, train new engineers in recording and mixing, and maintain all hardware and software within
the studio. Additionally, I instruct students in the basics of miking, mixing, and the use of DAWs.
